Super Spelling Challenge
Here in P6/7 we are all very aware of the fact that our spelling skills have to be transferred and used in all of our work, whether it's maths, language, topic or any other type of work- ALWAYS TRY TO SPELL CORRECTLY.
We all enjoy our 'Active Spelling' tasks, as you can see from the evidence here:

However, how much are our 'Active Spelling' tasks paying off? I know they are fun but are they helping you to improve your spelling? Can you transfer your ability to spell certain words to all aspects of the curriculum?
Time for the spelling challenge! To test your spelling skills and abilities follow the link below in class on Friday 25th February (don't do this at home). When you have completed it post your score and comment to the blog- remember to sign your name!
Remember to read the instructions about how to play and keep track of how many you get right!

Handball Festival
After 3 weeks of handball coaching from our fantastic coach Charlie we went along to Linlithgow Academy to take part in the Handball Festival. All of th Linlithgow schools were there and P6/7 felt quietly confident, but a little daunted...there were hundreds of children!
Once we all got playing we soon got into the swing of things and enjoyed it so much we all wanted to be playing on court at the same time (a little tricky when only 5 players can play per team). We were all delighted at the end when it was announced...Bridgend Primary School ....1st! We won! Most importantly we all had a great time trying our hand at a new sport.

THE RISK FACTORY
We had fun at the Risk Factory learning about taking risks and things that could happen in real life. We did scenarios to help learn about our safety, it was a really fun and interesting trip to go on. I wish i could go again!
