The Blitz Programme

I have just watched the blitz programme that Jason posted about it was very interesting. It also let you here Neville Chamberlain speech. it was sad about the girl that was at the theater for her wedding anniversary and it got bombed

 the next day 600 people died and more than 600 injured

one girl fainted when she heard war was declared and then she died in the blitz

hundreds of people ran away to the countryside to get away but some people was not allowed to go because they had to work

Anderson shelters was so cold

people seeped in underground train platform because they did not get things to make Anderson shelter.

Hitler decided to invade Coventry on the  14th of November 1940

some people did not like the way BBC was doing the newspaper and  the radio so they listened to the German radio and one day the German solider a announced Germany was going to invade London so they all switched off the radio and grabbed all there belonging and ran to the Anderson shelters .

22nd of December Manchester got there turn of the blitz

on  boxing day 1940 they said the worst of the blitz is over! But on the 29th  London  got a terrifying attack some men got sent to save the st Margret cathedral.

Hitler wanted to bomb st Paul's because he thought it would break the spirit

but st Paul's was saved

people in Britain were feed up with the slogan Britain can take it
they wanted it to be Britain could give it out

people said they wanted to bomb Berlin the same that they did to London

 hope you like my facts i had to keep pausing the TV so i could type it
